Mr. Don S. De Amicis

Mr. Don S. De Amicis’ professional career has focused on advising government, businesses, financial institutions, and investment funds on investment, finance and trade matters. He is a Professor at Georgetown University Law School where he teaches and researches international business and investment matters and is co-director of the Center for Transnational Business and the Law. He is also a member of sanctions boards of the Inter-American Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, and chairman of the board of directors of MFX Solutions, Inc., a financial services firm. For several years, Mr. De Amicis served as Vice President and General Counsel of the Overseas Private Investment Corporation (now the Development Finance Corporation), the international development finance institution of the United States government that promotes private investment in emerging markets across industry groups including energy and power, transportation, and financial services. He spent over 25 years as a partner at Ropes & Gray, an international law firm, where he represented U.S and foreign businesses on regulatory and transactional matters. He served as Chair of the Section of International Law of the American Bar Association and as Woolf Fellow at the Netherlands Institute for Advanced Study, a research institution, and is on the faculty of the International Law Institute where he teaches on international investment and finance topics, including private equity and public-private partnerships.

Mr. De Amicis received his J.D. law degree from Harvard Law School, and a B.A. from Harvard College.
